"Junior" by Dawn Browning (with Bonnie Bernard) is a short story that is a fun read with Renee Phillips "little bird" as our heroine and main character.The story quickly leads us into a bar where Renee discovers her soul mate, Colin/Junior "my man" and for her this is difficult since she doesn't believe in that sort of thing. All of a sudden she can read his mind and feel when things are about to go bad for him. Jumping in to save him from harm they are connected now.
I like how her foul mouth gives her character a more realistic charm and her attitude toward authority figures is hilarious. She has a wonderful side-kick named Mufasa. There are some great twists with a surprise ending that makes you think, well... that figures!
I was gifted this e-copy and I suggest you read it for a fast-paced exciting short read. 5 stars!

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.
What an excellent story. Character's were great an the storyline well paced.
Although a short story it was action packed from start to finish.
Although I did think the ending was a bit harsh it was refreshing to see that not every story has to have a happy ending )

It's a quick coffee break read that will keep you thoroughly entertained from start to finish. I loved the Howie Evil references (check out Midnight Hunter trilogy) and it was all smooth sailing for Donna (not taking into account the near death experiences) until the very end - such a great twist!
